Where Is Coolant

alreet can some one help me, i have a x reg 19tdi galaxy with the zetec engine,i was wondering does anyone know where the temp sensor is for the readout on the temperature guage. i have looked on this forum in the faqs section and seen pictures, but some say it is on the back of the engine then some say its on the front of the engine depending on what engine you have i suppose,and what does it look like, as i have had 3 different types from europarts they say it has been modified. any helpful advice would be appreciated. fitted on the top hose half way to top of rad normally pointing downwards, held in place with a c clip

thanks for quick reply, i have changed this sensor but has not made any difference to the readout on the gauge. its the coolant temp sensor i need too change,what else could be the problem and what other sensor?

The engine code would be more useful, Zetec is only referring to the trim level.

i dont know the engine code or how to get it, but i suspect it is either a ahn or avg so i have been told
